Bigpants Universal Lightroom Preset Pack

This pack is the most versatile set of presets I’ve ever used. It’s clean and natural feeling with just the right amount of texture to give it some real personality.

The universal set is all on based variations around a single look. In the commercial world all of your images need to look good on their own but also hold up next to each other. The core preset here is the Universal Standard and it’s the look I use for 99% of all my personal work.

To make things as simple as possible, I’ve made some variations to suit the situations that I most often encounter in my own personal work.

PJP 001 Universal Std

My own personal look and feel. With a few small tweaks, this works on 95%+ of all images I shoot.

PJP 002 Universal (Less Orange)

For a more colourful scene that needs to be toned back a bit. Particularly for medium to darker skin tones or warmer environments.

PJP 003 Universal (Soft Greens)

A more subtle feel for wedding, portraits and other leafy environments. Works beautifully for overcast days as skin tones stay warm and vivid.

PJP 004 Universal (Less Orange + Soft Greens)

A combination of the previous two presets, great for sunny days and medium to dark skin tones, while also remaining subtle with pastel green tones.

Extra Workflow Presets

In many situations, a little more texture or punch can give the photo that extra lift that it needs. It’s easy to over do it though - you want to “feel” it not see it.

PJP 006 Film Grain

This is a medium 35mm type of grain. Not too harsh, but not too subtle either. Great for weddings and portraits, it adds a little bit of nostalgia to your edit.

PJP 007 Fine Grain

A more subtle approach. You can easily get away with this in most commercial situations. You will feel it more than see it. It's a really beautiful way to soften a digital image.

PJP 009 Sharpen

There is a very subtle sharpening added to the Universal set already. This kicks it up a notch for when you really want to emphasis your “in focus” areas. This level of sharpening is masked at around 80% so your image will stay overall very clean, while getting all of your edge detail and then some. It also stacks beautifully with the 006 & 007 grain presets.

PJP 010 Heavy Sharpen

For when you need that extra detail and clarity. Less heavy on the masking means it’s not just the finer details being sharpened this time, but more of an overall boost.

This pack was designed for RAW images with Sony & Canon colour science in mind, but will work with all brands.

As it is a digital product, this preset is non-refundable.

It requires some level of technical Lightroom knowledge to use and most images will need minor adjustments. Please make sure you watch and understand all the available resources and documentation to work out if this product is right for you.
